Dialog Axiata PLC sponsors Club Rugby 7s

Sri Lanka’s premier mobile service provider, Dialog Axiata PLC, is extending its sponsorship of the Club Rugby 7s for the second consecutive year, promising a weekend of action-packed and fast-paced 7s rugby that will bring fans to the edge of their seats.

The Dialog Club Rugby 7s, one of the most anticipated events in the club rugby calendar, will kick off from 14 to 15 June at the Race Course Grounds, Colombo 07. The 32 teams taking part in this year’s tournament have been segmented into two groups with 16 teams in each group scrumming down for coveted cup, plate, bowl and shield championships. The ‘Cup’ final of the first group will be played on 15 June at 5.30 p.m. The ‘Cup’ final of the second group will be played on 22 June. Upcountry Lions SC emerged champions last year after beating Havelock’s SC 14-12 in a thrilling final encounter played at the Havelock Park Grounds.
