Champion Sri Lankan rally driver Dinesh Deheragoda was forced out of the Wurth FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship’s fourth round when his Ezy Racing Mitsubishi Lancer veered into a tree. Deheragoda’s mishap contributed to a dramatic round 4, which saw Gaurav Gill drive his Team MRF Skoda Fabia S2000 to victory in Bahru, Malaysia. Gill too suffered several some problems of his own on Day One including a spin, while many of his main competitors became unstuck by the treacherous conditions meaning crews lost valuable time or were sometimes forced into retirement. The Wurth Group is the official supplier for 2014 season for the second consecutive year. The Wurth team is providing competitors with complete rally vehicle maintenance. They have access to the best range of Wurth products and technical know-how in the industry. The next round of the FIA APRC, “Rally Hokkaido” is scheduled to be held from 26 to 28 September in Japan.
