The 127th Annual General Meeting of the Kalutara Town Club was held on last Sunday at the main hall of the club where Deepal V. Perera was re-elected as the President to lead the club for another year by its members.
Founded in 1888 by British planters, KTC is one of the oldest cricket playing clubs in the country and celebrates its 127th anniversary this year.
In 1938 the club went in to history books by winning the first ever inter club tournament better known as ‘Daily News’ trophy under the leadership of Sir Cyril De Soyza.
