Cricket craze at Dickwella Resort and Spa

LOLC Leisure Group’s Dickwella Resort and Spa warmly welcomed the members and officials of the Bangladesh National Squad and Sri Lanka Development Emerging Team, who participated the three-day cricket encounter at the Uyanwatta Stadium in Matara, during 2013 Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka.

Dickwella Resort and Spa Manager Mirza Borham together with the hotel staff members and guests gave a traditional Sri Lankan welcome to both teams and hosted them for a relaxing evening of cocktails and dinner at the hotel’s beach.

The young cricketers of the Sri Lanka Development Emerging Team were accompanied by their coach and veteran cricketer Romesh Kaluwitharana, and Bowling Coach Anusha Samaranayake, while the visiting Bangladesh National Squad was accompanied by their Manager, Tanjeeb Ahsan.

Sharing his views about their stay in the hotel’s guest commentary book, Romesh Kaluwitharana wrote, “We had a lovely time at the Dickwella Resort and Spa. The management is very helpful and friendly. I thank them for making our stay a comfortable one.”

Bangladesh National Squad Manager Mr. Tanjeeb Ahsan wrote: “Excellent food and service. All the members of the Bangladesh team enjoyed the beauty of the location. Thank you for entertaining us.”
