St. Joseph’s College, Bandarawela registered a convincing seven wicket win over Royal College, Moneragala in their Division III cricket encounter played at the Moneragogal ground.
The Royalists, who batted first, were dismissed for a paltry 104 with Nalin Shanaka doing most of the damage, capturing five wickets and giving away only 35 runs. In their turn, the Joes too were shot out cheaply but gained a lead of 24 runs with the top score coming from skipper Buddhika Chamara.
The Royalists fared a little bit better to make 150 in their second innings, setting a winning target of 126. Joes reached the target losing only three wickets to register this easy win.
