Commercial Credit sweeps LankaPay Interbank Six-a-Side Cricket Championship

The Interbank Soft Ball Six-a-Side Cricket Tournament organised for the first time by LankaClear, the operator of LankaPay – Sri Lanka’s National Payment Network – was held recently at MIT Ground Malabe. 

This was a keenly contested affair where sixteen teams competed for the coveted trophy including Commercial Credit, Seylan Bank, Union Bank, Nations Trust Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, HDFC Bank, LOLC, Hatton National Bank, DFCC Bank, Sampath Bank, Cargills Bank, Commercial Bank, Commercial Leasing and Finance, Public Bank, MCB Bank and LankaClear.

Commercial Credit emerged victorious at the finals with Nations Trust Bank, who competed hard to emerge as the runners up, and became the very first winner of the LankaPay Interbank Six-a-Side Cricket Championship. Ranga Cooray of Commercial Credit emerged the Best Batsman while Shammi Pradeep of Nations Trust Bank was adjudged the Best Bowler. 

The entire Cricket Tournament was a fun filled affair and LankaClear plans to make this an annual event to be looked forward to by all the participants each year.
