FATULLAH, Bangladesh, (Reuters) - New captain Michael Clarke was among four Australian batsmen to score half-centuries in their 90-run win over a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI on Thursday.
Clarke retired after making 55 in a warm-up match for the three-match one-day international series which starts on Saturday.
Former captain Ricky Ponting made 69, Brad Haddin 66 and Mike Hussey 69 not out as the touring side made 308 for six.
John Hastings was the most successful bowler with figures of four for 13 as the Australians restricted the BCB XI to 218 for seven.
Ponting stepped down as captain last month following Australia’s World Cup quarter-final exit.
