Colombo Round Table One organised a cricket coaching camp titled ‘Champs and Future Champs’ as a fund raiser to a charity project undertaken by Colombo Round Table One which is to build a reintegration centre for the girls who are victims of sexual abuse. The cricket camp was conducted by Sri Lankan cricketers including Lasith Malinga, Muttiah Muralitharan, Upul Tharanga and Jehan Mubarak who is the current Chairman of Colombo Round Table One on Sunday, 17 January at the CR and FC grounds.
Colombo Round Table One is a part of Round Table Sri Lanka chapter. Round Table is a fellowship club for like-minded young men between 18 and 40 years of age. Currently Round Table has over 35,000 members in over 40 different countries. Colombo Round Table One is the first club to be chartered in Sri Lanka in 1994 and Round Table Sri Lanka has contributed over $ 3 million worth of funds to a variety of worthy causes in addition to the intellectual capital contributed by tablers for these causes.
“Round Table is a great network as it consists of young men from diverse professional backgrounds who are involved with the round table network on fellowship activities, professional development initiatives and community service projects. Champs and Future Champs project is one such initiative organised by members of Colombo Round Table one,” Colombo Round Table One Chairman Jehan Mubarak emphasises.
