Speaking at the formal signing of the title sponsorship agreement with CEAT, SLADA President Mahesh Gammanpila said: “It is an honour for us to have CEAT as the main sponsor of the CEAT SLADA Championship 2016. If not for the support of CEAT, we would not have achieved what we have today.”
CEAT Kelani Holdings Vice President Sales & Marketing Ravi Dadlani said the brand has been involved in supporting motor sports in Sri Lanka for a decade, and has been the title sponsor of the annual championship for seven years, supporting the two associations that conducted the race events. “We are committed to continue our support to efforts to develop and popularise motor racing in Sri Lanka and to raise the standard of the sport,” he said.
Established by a team of drivers, riders and officials to take motorsports in Sri Lanka to the next generation, SLADA has introduced the latest technology in timing and equipment to meet the demands of this rapidly changing sport. To ensure that race events are a success, the association has nominee representatives from the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Air Force on its executive committee, a first for any racing association in the country.

CEAT Sri Lanka manufactures half of the country’s pneumatic tyre requirements, and CEAT is the highest selling radial tyre brand in the country.
