CEAT Racing achieves 18 podium finishes at Cavalry Supercross

CEAT’s racing colours flew high and proud at the Cavalry Supercross which concluded on Sunday 8 June, with the team achieving a noteworthy 18 podium finishes. In yet another consistent display of skills and grit, the CEAT racing team secured one first place, seven second places, four third places, three fourth places and three fifth places at this meet. Ace driver Upulwan Serasinghe was one of the stars of the team, winning the SLN 1500cc Ford Laser/Mazda race, securing third place in the 1300cc Ford Laser/Mazda event and being placed third and fourth in the two SLH 1600cc races. Janaka Dias with two second places in the two SLH 1600 events and Ushan Perera who was placed second in the two SLGT 3500cc races also shone for the CEAT Racing team. “The team has once again distinguished itself on the challenging Pangolla track,” CEAT Kelani Vice President – Sales & Marketing Ravi Dadlani, said. “Performances like this further reinforce the credentials of CEAT not only as a sponsor of motorsport but also as a producer of high performance tyres that are equally at home on the road and the race track.” The CEAT Racing Team for the 2014-15 season comprises of Upulwan Serasinghe, Janaka Dias, Shashika Lakmal Wijerathna, Lalin Kirinda, Prasanna De Alwis, Lt. Colonel Duminda Jayasinghe, Lt. Colonel Indu Samarakoon, Ushan Perera, Pasindu Peiris, Jacques Gunawardhana and Deshan Solanki. A global tyre brand present in 110 countries, CEAT is the title sponsor of the 2014 championship of the Sri Lanka Auto-sports Drivers Association (SLADA).
