BDM to empower Sri Lanka Cricket Women’s Team

BDM, the leading cricket equipment manufacturer from Meerut, lndia, yesterday joined hands with Sri Lanka Cricket as official sponsor of cricket equipment for the national women’s cricket team.

The promotional campaign was held during August 2012 when BDM also sponsored the Sri Lanka U-19 Cricket Team as official equipment supplier, when the team participated in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2012 which was held in Australia.

BDM has been in the forefront of world cricket for many years and is one of the oldest cricket equipment manufacturers, having started Ralhum Trading Company Managing Director M.M. Rakesh Mahajan, Director of B.D. Mahajan & Sons Pvt. Ltd., has made a commitment with Sri Lanka Cricket during his visit recently, on the occasion of signing the agreement to sponsor the Sri Lanka U-19 Team, and also sponsor the Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team as well for the next two years.

He expressed interest to continue supporting the team in future too and also made a commitment to continue providing equipment under sponsorship to upcoming talented players of Sri Lanka annually for underprivileged sports achievers, along with hosting of other social development initiatives under BDM cricket sponsor program.

Its policy is designed to promote the game of cricket where talented players get the opportunity to use the equipment without any financial burden and support to provide the right equipment under sponsorship for the team to showcase its talents.

In the past many decades BDM Cricket had spent a lot to promote the cricket in Asia and in all the cricket playing nations by sponsoring players from grass root levels where some of the players have used BDM equipment.

Previously players like T.M. Dilshan, Upul Tharanga of the present Sri Lanka Team were endorsed by BDM whereas even presently Dilshan Munaweera and Kaushalya Lokuarachi are under endorsement with BDM in addition to many more players who played in the recently-held Sri Lanka Premier League T20 and during past at various national and international tournaments.

BDM Cricket said it is committed to provide international standard equipment to players through its exclusive distributor, Ralhum Trading Company Ltd. and its marketing network to endeavor its best services in the Sri Lanka region.

BDM Cricket also extended its wishes to Sri Lanka Cricket National Team, who has played like champion in the recent ICC T-20 World Cup, Women’s Cricket Team, and U-19 Team of all formats. “We are thankful to the Sri Lanka Cricket giving chance to serve them to the best of our ability,” Mahajan said.
