Thomian and national youth Under-18 skipper Naveen Heenakankanmge will lead the Sri Lanka Under-20 outfit at the Asian Youth Rugby Sevens 2017, which will be worked off at the Kings Park Rugby grounds on 4 and 5 August.
Science College player Supun Dilshan will be his deputy on tour. The national outfit will take wing to Hong Kong on 1 August where they will defend the title they won last year under Kevin Dixon.
St. Joseph’s College player Chathura Seneviratne, Havelocks’ Ramesh Fernando and Science College’s Thanuja Maduranga will be non-touring standbys for the tournament.
