Asian Youth Baseball Championship: Sri Lanka does well to restrict China for low score but loses

The Sri Lanka youth baseball team who played their first match against China lost a good opportunity in beating the strong Chinese team at the final innings of the match. Match was played on 1 September. Sri Lanka, who took the lead in the second inning, dominated the game until the final inning of the match. However the final result was China won the match with a score of 05 to 04 runs. Sri Lankan players showed their determination and never allowed the Chinese to score until their last inning. Sri Lanka did well to score 04 runs whilst the Chinese players were struggling to score against the Sri Lankan pitchers and fielders. Chinese team used their experience to come back to the game at the last minute and concluded with a tough win against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka will take the world number 02 Japan on Tuesday the 02nd. Even though the team was defeated by the Chinese Sri Lanka is determined to do well in their other matches to better their ranking in the Asian and World Baseball. In the other 03 matches that were played the results were as follows. Korea beat Chinese Taipei     09 to 01. Thailand Beat Pakistan 20 to 00. Japan beat Philippines 11 to 00
