Ashan, Ned race for victory with MOTUL power

Colombo’s motor racing fans were in for a treat when Motul Lubricants Brand Ambassadors and two of Sri Lanka’s most promising racing stars, Ashan Silva and Ned Daniel were crowned kings at the ‘Colombo Night Races’ last Sunday. This event was held for the third successive year. The ‘King of motor racing’ in Sri Lanka, Ashan Silva proved his excellence once again in the SL-GT up to 3500cc event by driving his Mitsubishi Evolution 3 to victory. Significantly, the race saw 23 automobiles lining up, probably the highest number of cars participating in a single event in Sri Lanka. However, Ashan had no difficulty in booking the top slot, making the turns with remarkable accuracy despite the wet condition of the track, and making a clear gap ahead in the straight lines. Janaka Dias and Abeeth Dangalla finished second and third respectively.

The other MOTUL star, Ned Daniel also showed his prowess when it came to riding, by winning the Super MX-Supermoto/Supermotard Open event including 250 cc (2T & 4T), ahead of this year’s national champion Thusitha Gunasekara in his Yamaha YZ. Thusitha was placed second while Ananda Sampath Weerasinghe came in third. Dynamic Motors Ltd., sole agents for Motul Lubricants sponsored these two champions for the 2013 race season. Along with the Motul partnership Ashan and Ned used revolutionary Motul 300V motor sports line and factory line globally renowned dedicated racing oils and specialties which are used by top racing teams all over the world.
