Allianz scouts for two teenage Sri Lankans to join global football camp

• Six day global football adventure begins in Germany in August

Two Sri Lankan teenagers will get a rare opportunity to participate in the annual Allianz Junior Football camp in Germany and train alongside top-class professionals from football club, FC Bayern Munchen. Open to Sri Lankans across the island, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, creates a platform for boys and girls between the ages of 14-16 to take part in a football adventure, playing with scores of teenagers from other countries.

The Allianz Junior Football Camp is a truly amazing experience where participants arrive from different cultural and social backgrounds with one passion in mind for football.

Allianz is proud to present this global opportunity to Sri Lankan teenagers and it continues to nurture sports and leadership development of youth across the country.

Through the Sri Lankan programme, Allianz is looking for energetic footballers who are keen to develop their game and sharpen their discipline, leadership and team building skills.

Teenagers who miss out on the German adventure will be shortlisted to participate in a junior football camp in Bangkok, Thailand.

Here two lucky teenagers will train and play alongside regional counterparts at the Allianz Asian Junior Football camp, which runs from 28 to 30 June 2013.

The Sri Lankan-leg of the competition ends on 7 June 2013.

Contestants will be selected through an interview process after registering their details on - www.football-for-life.com.

They must first select “Sri Lanka” as the country, include a write-up on the best football story in life and upload their favourite personal football picture.

All participants need parental or guardian permission must enter all required personal information and agree to abide with the terms and conditions of the competition.

The Munich camp, which runs from 7 to 12 August 2013, gives the Sri Lankan participants a chance to watch a private training session of FC Bayern München at their training facility in Säbener Strasse.

The programme includes training sessions with the club’s junior coaches and an opportunity to mingle with the professional stars, pose for pictures and take their autographs.

Participants will also experience a Munich sightseeing trip and a visit to the official FC Bayern München museum, “FC Bayern Erlebniswelt”.

In its fifth year, nearly 200 teenage boys and girls from around the world have benefitted from the Allianz Junior Football Camp. Tens of thousands of teenagers apply for the coveted competition each year.

The Allianz Junior Football Camp is part of the global Allianz initiative “Football for life”. Its goal is to connect football enthusiasts from all over the world and facilitate intercultural exchange.
