Rahula crush Vidyaloka by 92 runs

Rahula College registered a 92 run win against Vidyaloka College Galle in their under 17 division one tournament cricket match played at the Uyanwatte Stadium on Tuesday (27). Rahula asked to bat first were dismissed for 214 runs. Skipper Yasiru Hewanadugala topped the score card with 47 while 43 extras were conceded. Vidyan Sandaruk captured five wickets. Vidyaloka were dismissed for 122 runs with Kushan Ranawake 4/22 and Pasan Samarathunge 3/12 doing the dammage. K.L.A. Krishan 27 and W.K. Madushan 26 were the top scorers for the visitors with Rahula conceding 36 extra runs (12 byes, 1 leg bye, 22 wides, 1nb). Wattala Anthonians win by five wickets

St Anthony’s College Wattala registered their third win from four outings by registering a five wicket win against Sri Dharmaloka College Kelaniya. The under 17 division one first round match was played at the St Anthony’s College grounds yesterday (28). Invited to bat first Sri Dhammaloka were all out in 26 overs. Gihan Dharmasiri 4/21 and Teshan Prasanna 3/16 bowled well while only Sachintha Madhusanka 42 and Samitha Ranga 34 entering double figures. The Anthonians scored the winning runs in 23.5 overs with skipper Akila Vageesha topping the score card with 39. Teshan Prasanna was unbeaten on 22. Nishan Hasaral captured three wickets.
