All-island Interschool Prefects’ Handball Tournament on Sunday

The Prefects’ Guild of Ananda College has taken the initiative in organising the All-Island International Prefects’ Handball Tournament for the second consecutive year, under the same name, ‘Feel the Field’.

A spokesman for the Prefects Guild said: “The Prefects’ Guild of Ananda College is known for thinking outside the box in organising events.

 So, thinking beyond the traditional ‘Prefects’ Day’ concept, we were determined to celebrate the occasion with a different approach.

In order to promote brotherhood among the other schools we used a recreational activity to express the feat. Accordingly, for the second successive year, we organised ‘Feel the Field,’ the inter-school handball tournament.”

The milestone of organising the first-ever tournament of this nature was planted by the college Prefects’ Guild last year.

‘Feel the Field’ is organised with the participation of leading international, private and Government schools and will be held on Sunday, 25 September 2011, from 8 a.m. onwards at Ananda College, Ananda Mawatha, Colombo 10.
