The Regatta which is the annual rowing competition between Ladies’ College Colombo and Musaeus College, Colombo, commenced in the year 2004 and is currently considered the oldest and the most prestigious inter-school rowing competition held amongst the girl’s schools in Sri Lanka. Out of the races rowed so far, Musaeus has won two while Ladies have won six with one race ending in a draw. The races are rowed over a distance of 1000 yards and the venue is the Beira Lake in Colombo. This event takes place in the month of October and is usually held on the second Saturday of the month at the Colombo Rowing Club.

Dandeniya. “This is the very first time that Airtel Lanka has partnered with Musaeus College and we look forward to a close involvement with them which will certainly take our sports to the next level.”
“It is now a full decade since the inception of the only inter-girls’ school regatta in the country. The bonds of friendship which have been 
established between these two leading private schools has grown through the years,” stated Ladies’ College, Colombo Principal Nirmalie Wickremesinghe. I hope that this will continue in the future and look forward to yet another exciting Regatta this year,” she further added.
