Wrestler Nethmi wins bronze at Commonwealth Games

Sri Lanka’s freestyle wrestler Nethmi Poruthotage yesterday won the bronze medal in the women’s freestyle 57kg wrestling event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Her last result is the 8th place for the women’s 57.0 kg in the World Junior Championships in 2021. Nethmi is enlisted under United World Wrestling’s (UWW) Junior World Championship and is part of the Next Champ program by Crysbro and National Olympic Committee.
