School Cricket Under 17

Trinity College had an impressive start to their Under 17 inter school cricket season when they beat their traditional rival, St Anthony’s, Katugastota by 64 runs at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy.

Batting first, Trinity scored 287 with the help of a fine unbeaten century by Ranuda Somaratne (102 not out). His innings consists of seven boundaries. In reply Antonians could manage only 224 with Gihan Ebert batting elegantly for an unbeaten 55.
