Schools Rugby will return after a pandemic-induced lapse of almost 20 months. The Dialog-sponsored Schools Rugby Sevens, organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA), will be worked off this weekend (18 and 19 Dec.) at the Royal Sports Complex behind closed doors.
After the Western Province event, the tournament will move to the central hills on 27 December, with eight teams locking horns at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekele. This event will be followed by events in the Northwestern and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and with one in the Southern Province in Koggala.
Day one will see 10 teams from Division B taking part, while the last day will be worked off with the 12 top teams in Division A locking horns.
