West Asia Rugby Sevens: Aaqil and Dilum officiate men’s and women’s finals

Referees Manager Dilroy with Diulm and Aaqil at the Doha Sevens

Young referees, Dilum Deeshana and Aaqil Jamaldeen both officiated in the women’s and men’s finals, respectively, at the West Asia Rugby Sevens 2021, which took place in Doha Qatar on 8 and 9 October.

UAE accounted with wins in both segments, which saw young Sri Lankan referees Aaqil Jamaldeen (men’s) and Dilum Deeshana (women’s) officiating in the Cup finals. Sri Lankan veteran referee, veteran in the field, World Rugby and Asian Rugby (AR) trainer, and educator Dilroy Fernando officiated as the Referees Manager.
