The Warriors Rugby sevens will be worked off on 30 and 31 October with ten teams locking horns in three groups at the Police Park.

Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Police will field two teams each while the CH & FC and Havelock SC will field one team each.

There won’t be a women’s tournament; but a pool of 40 players who will be selected will go in to training under their Head Coach – Saliya Kumara. Meanwhile, the men’s outfit will be selected by the national selections committee headed by Ashoka Jayasena on 31 October.

The tournament will kick-off on the opening day at 11:00 a.m. with a game between CH & FC vs Navy B. Day Two will see teams locking horns in the Cup, Plate and Bowl segments.

The pools are as follows:

Pool A: CH & FC, Army A, Air Force B, Navy B

Pool B: Police A, Havelock SC, Army Colts

Pool C: Air Force A, Navy A, Police Griffins
