The Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU) 15-a-side rugby tournament will be worked off today. The seven clubs from Colombo, along with the Forces, will participate. Air Force, who are currently on an overseas tour along with CH & FC (non-availability of ground), will not participate in this event.

This event was earlier to be under-21 or under-24, but later shifted to an open event in order to give some warm up for the upcoming Inter-Club Rugby season, which will kick off shortly. Roshan Deen will head the tournament’s organising committee. WPFRU is headed by Nazeem Mohamed. (SJ)
