Vantage Powers Sri Lanka Football as the full sponsor for Vantage FA Cup 2018

Vantage, a leading men’s clothing brand in Sri lanka, also the flagship brand of Ebony Holdings Ltd, was the privileged sponsor for the 56th ‘Vantage FA Cup 2018’’, the country’s longest running association football knockout tournament. The tournament fully sponsored by Vantage reached its grand finale when the defending champions Army SC took on legendary Saunders SC at the final match held at the Sugathadasa stadium recently. Army SC won the game scoring 4 – 2 goals against Saunders SC, securing top honours as the Vantage FA Cup Champions 2018.

As the oldest knockout tournament organised by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka, FA Cup tournament’s history dates back to 1948. Vantage FA Cup 2018 witnessed the participation of 715 teams across 60 football leagues, therefore benchmarked as the largest knockout football tournament in the country.  Organised for the 56th time, the tournament was conducted in league stage, provincial/ district stage and the final stage.  The FA Cup champions were rewarded with cash prize of Rs. 700,000 whilst the runners up team was rewarded with Rs. 500,000. The awards ceremony after the grand finale between Army SC and Saunders’ SC was a gala affair, with the participation of SL Army Commander Lieutenant General N.U.M.M.W Senanayake, the top officials of FFSL, together with the management of Ebony Holdings Ltd.
