Captains unveil the Tournament Trophy

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will host the ACC Under 19 Asia Cup 2019 from today (5) to 14 September in Colombo. The tournament will feature Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kuwait, UAE, Nepal, Afghanistan, and defending champions India.
Speaking to the Media, Tournament Director Bandula Dissanayake said: “We are delighted to get down the best seven teams from Asia and the support rendered by visiting out country.”
He also thanked the ACC (Asian Cricket Council) for showing confidence in selecting Sri Lanka as the host for the second year running.
“We have selected the best five venues in and around Colombo to host this event,” he added.
Sri Lanka will be led by Nipun Dhananjaya. Four teams will play in a group and the two top teams from each group will play in the semi-finals.
The final will take place at the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium. All matches will be 50 over day games.
