Bradby Shield will take place on 1 June at Pallekelle
The much-looked forward blue ribbon of schools rugby between Trinity College and Royal College will be worked off on 1 June at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekelle. This will be considered as a tournament game.
Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SSRFA) got the green light from the Ministry of Sports and Defence to hold the first leg at Pallekelle while the return leg which will be considered as a friendly will be worked off at the Royal Sports Complex on 15 June.
Trinity 1982 skipper Byron Fernando will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest of the first leg encounter. More than 8,000 are expected to witness the game under tight security. This will be the only Cup segment encounter played in Kandy for round two as Trinity only qualified for this segment. (SJ)
