The Trinity rugby season for 2019 came to an end and will be starting the 2020 campaign later this month. Trinity ended the season living up to their motto of ‘Respice Finem’ which is ‘look to the end’. They made a bold comeback in the second leg in Colombo and went a yard further by winning the All-Island Under 20 Rugby sevens after a lapse of 42 years.
Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage Chairman and 1989 second rower Channa Pathirana speaking to Daily FT said: “These efforts were not possible if not for the Sponsors of Trinity rugby. Singer Sri Lanka, Kandurata Umbrellas, Exotic Cars and many other individual and corporate sponsors.”
Channa continued: “I am delighted that our sponsors believed in Trinity rugby and its program. We wouldn’t have met our goals without our sponsors. A very big thank you goes out to all our sponsors on behalf of Trinity College Scrummage and the Old Boys of Trinity.”
