Tharindu De Alwis to lead Joes at Rugby

National Under 19 and Under 18 Youth Olympic player and crack number 8 Tharindu De Alwis will lead the Joes rugby outfit in their 2019 rugby season.

Joes did really well in 2018 ending as runner-up in the Singer league and Milo Knockout Trophy. Their Head Coach Nilfer, a sevens sensation himself, proved that he is not second to any coaching staff in the country when he helped the Joes to win the sevens. Nilfer will be assisted by Anura Walpola, the former Isipathana and Kandy SC hooker. (SJ)
