Former Trinity College last Bradby winning skipper, Tharinda Ratwatte is expected to cross over to his home town club, Kandy SC during 2019/2020 rugby season which will kick off in November 2019.

Tharinda who had a grand season for the Red Shirts for four years earning a place in the sevens and fifteen squad will return to Kandy in order to continue his rugby career. He also led the Under 19 Junior national team plus he is a regular member of the national sevens team.
His father, Ashan Ratwatte too captained Trinity in 1983 and later went on to lead the Kandy Sports Club three years later. According to a reliable source he will sign his contract in the near future.
CR & FC President, Sriyan Cooray speaking to Daily FT said Tharis contract is still valid for one more year. He wanted a release. We have given it to him and he is free to play anywhere.
