Sri Lanka squad named for Macau game

The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) announced a 23 member squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round One against Macau.

Sujan Perera will lead the outfit with Kavindu Ishan assisting him in leadership. Veteran Nizam Packeer Ali will be the Head Coach. He will be assisted by Janaka Silva (Assistant Coach) and Sampath Bandara (Goalkeeping Coach).

Sujan Perera (captain) – Kavindu Ishan (vice-captain), Rasik Rishad, Mohamed Luthfi, Manaram Perera, Charitha Ratnayake, Duckson Piuslas, Mariyathas Nitharshan, Harsha Fernando, Mohamed Fazal, Jude Suman, Sasanka Jayasekara, Pathum Vimukthi, Shabeer Razooniya, Mohamed Shaheel, Mohamed Musthaq, Suntharaj Niresh, Chalana and Mohamed Aakib.

Sri Lanka played their first warm up match against Laos yesterday and the second encounter will take place on 31 May. (SJ)
