The Sri Lanka rugby outfit under Thulaib Hassen outclassed the hosts China by 39 points (5 tries, 1 conversion, 4 penalties) to 14 points (2tries, 2 conversions) in China yesterday at the Asia Rugby Under 19 Division 1 encounter yesterday.
Sri Lanka scored their tries through Manilka Ruberu, Samuel Ogbebor (2), Nizran Nilar, Thulaib Hassen and Zubair Doray. Manilka put over three penalties plus a conversion kick while Zubair Doray put over one penalty.
For China their tries were scored by Lian Wang and Zhen Yu. Both conversions were successfully taken by Kandbo Xu.
Philippines and Thailand drew their encounter scoring 17 apiece, but Philippines, who will meet Sri Lanka on 14 December, moved forward through a higher number of tries.
Meanwhile China will play Thailand for the third place play-off.
