Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) will be conducting a workshop to educate the management and players all rugby playing clubs and schools the procedure introduced by the Sri Lanka Rugby Safe Return to Play in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This session will take place on 17 September at 1 p.m. at the Duncan White Auditorium, Colombo-7.
Every Club Chairman or Secretary Rugby Committee, team manager, COVID manager, coach, team captain and medical personnel along with every school’s Master-in-Charge, team manager, COVID manager, coach, team captain and medical personnel, Provincial Unions, President or Secretary, Rugby Development Officer and Provincial Coaches and University Secretary or Chairman Rugby Committee, coach and team captain will be expected to attend this important seminar.
Further in this workshop all will be educated on the procedure of maintaining and recording players and team management data during training and matches. Regular inspections will be carried out by the Health Department authorities and representatives from Ministry of Sports. According to reliable source SLR is planning to start with the Rugby Sevens for both clubs and schools probably without spectators.(SJ)
