Sri Lanka Nationals Tennis Championship begins 18 Aug.

The Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) will conduct the 103rd Nationals Tennis Championship at its courts from 18 August to 2 September.

This Category 1 Nationals, being the premier tournament listed on the SLTA tournament calendar which attracts all the top-ranked junior and senior players in the country, generates much enthusiasm.

The tournament comprises the following events.

Junior: 

• Under 12 Singles/Doubles (girls and boys)
• Under 14 Singles/Doubles (girls and boys)
• Under 16 Singles/Doubles (girls and boys)
• Under 18 Singles/Doubles (girls and boys)

Open:

• Men’s Singles/Doubles
• Women’s Singles/Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

Senior:

• Over 35, Over 45, Over 55, Over 65 Singles/Doubles

Wheelchair:

• Singles/Doubles

SLTA announced that Nationals Savings Bank has come forward as the sponsor for this year’s nationals together with Dialog (www.the papare.com) and Brown & Company (100 PLUS).

The ITF certified ball Dunlop Fort Elite will be the official ball for the tournament from Ralhum Trading Ltd. Dharaka Ellawala (ITF Silver Badge) is the referee for this tournament.
