With round two of the Speedruns Championship due to take place in Colombo on 8 March, the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC), together with AMW, the local agents for Suzuki, has arranged for their playseats to be made available to competitors and enthusiasts from 9.30 a.m. onwards at the Suzuki showroom in Borella on 16 February.
Speedruns is the digital motorsport challenge organised by CMSC together with Mandarin Reid. Round 1 was held in Matara together with the Southern Motor Sports Club (SMSC) which drew over 60 participants.
Digital motorsport is a simulated driving experience where competitors take part against each other, and as the playseats are connected to the internet, it allows international competition. The initiative is supported by FIA, the international governing body for motorsport and the platforms support the international championships conducted by the FIA.
