On another rain disrupted day where four of the 10 matches in the SLC Major Limited Overs tournament ended in a no-result with not a single ball bowled in any of the matches, Army SC, Badureliya SC, Moors SC, Air Force SC, Tamil Union and Navy SC managed to squeeze out wins beating the weather.

The most closely fought out game took place at Welisara where Navy SC pulled off a win by two runs under the Duckworth/Lewis rain method over Negombo CC. Navy scored 200 and Negombo who had their target revised to 188 off 48 overs fell short by three runs to register a win making 185-7. The dismissal of top scorer Angelo Jayasinghe for 72 in the final over with five required off five balls proved to be the turning point of the game for Negombo CC.
