National Under-18 player, Centre Avishka Sheik, was appointed the skipper of the Trinity College rugby outfit for 2018.

He will have another Commonwealth Games representative Naveen Rajaratanam as his deputy. They will be once again coached by New Zealand Sevens player Lote Raikabullah. The Lions will face an uphill task of regaining the lost Bradby Shield.  Jayasinghe (swimming) and Ediriweera (football) were awarded the Lion during the college’s assembly yesterday.
