Shawkhat moves to Central Hills

Former Royal College cracking third row forward, Shawkhat Lahir will play for Kandy Sports Club during the 2020/2021 rugby season. Lahir who had some outstanding season for the Park Club was the highest try scorer in their last season.

Lahir who played for the Reid Avenue outfit during 2014 and 2015 under Nimesh Jayawardena and Banuka Gamage is expected to pair off with his school mate Shehan Pathirana.

Kandy will also sign up with the Kingswood College skipper, Aasiri Seneviratne and Sylvester’s scrum half, Gihan Madushan in the near future. Former Trinitian, Nigel Ratwatte will lead the Kandy outfit who will defend their league title. Fazil Marija will coach the outfit wih Viraj Pasanna assisting him.
