Science Maroons stamped their class throughout the tournament showing class rugby action when they beat Western Province by 21/8 in the final of the Sri Lanka Rugby Under-24 Rugby League Tournament which concluded at the Police Park last weekend.
The plate segment was won by North Western province who beat Old Wesley SC 22/13. This encounter took place in Kurunegala. Southern Province won the Bowl beating Petersons SC 16/0 in Galle.
Dineth Pasindu (Science Maroons) won the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament and many of these players are likely to feature in leading clubs in the Inter Club rugby season which will kick off later this week. This event was organised by Sri Lanka Rugby and sponsored by Nippon Paints.
