Both D.S. Senanayake College and giant killers of Schools rugby Vidyartha College had to settle to share the Cup after the final ended in a 10 a-piece draw at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium yesterday in their Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SSRFA) Under 20 seven a side final.
The game was played under semi darkness and heavy rain where the ball handling was extremely difficult.
Vidyartha scored first through Dilshan Balasuriya which D.S. replied through their skipper, Seneviratne with a try. Wenura Perera scored the second D.S. try which was replied with the second Vidyartha try by Chethana Bandara.
D.S. missed a certain try in the last minute of the game with a knock on as the ball handling was tough with the game played under wet conditions throughout the 14 minutes.
St. Peter’s had to settle with a Plate win over Wesley while Antonians settled for the Bowl trophy. Katugastota Sri Rahula won the Shield beating Carey.
