Saliya replaces Sampath

When Sri Lanka host the third and the final leg of the Asian Rugby Sevens 2019 Sri Lanka Women’s Head Coaching role will be taken over by Saliya Kumara. He will replace Sudath Sampath. 

Sri Lanka Women’s performance in the Sevens this year being disaster. They ended the first leg on number six dropping down from their usual number five. In the second leg they ended as the last placed team on number eight. They will need to come out on top in order to avoid relegation to Division 1 in the 2020 event.
