Sailors snatch Samuel

The former Antonians fly half and one of the best place kickers in the country, Samuel Maduwantha has signed up for the 2020/2021 rugby season with the Navy Sports Club.

Samuel had two outstanding seasons for CH & FC, scoring well over 150 points in both the seasons. He made his national debut in the XV-a-side event at the Junior Asia Rugby Championship Division 1 in 2019 during the Taipei tour. Samuel, who had some injury worries, is fully recovered now.

Losing Maduwantha is a big blow for CH & FC but at the same time, they have signed Thilina Wijesinghe, a former Rajans and national player who crossed over from Kandy SC.
