Sachin De Silva registered a famous victory at the RCGC Course, leading the LECTRA Grand Prix 2019 September Edition from the first round to the fourth round, posting an even par final round to complete a famous victory, four strokes clear of veteran J. M. D. Indika – who in turn claimed the runner-up spot three strokes ahead of B. A. Sanjeewa, whose best fourth round score of 68 (three under par) helped him clinch third place two strokes clear of Rajok Anarapadma.
Sachin De Silva’s fourth round total of 278, six under par aggregate, is a very creditable performance considering the fact that Indika (the runner-up) is the only other golfer to finish the four rounds aggregate score below par.
Apparel Technologies Ltd., member of the Bobbin Group and sponsor of the LECTRA Grand Prix 2019, should get much credit for the facilitation of conducting the monthly four-round event, which is counted for the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Rankings) maintained by R & A, ensuring and rewarding the top-ranked amateur golfers in the Asia-Pacific region.
The final round of golf was followed by a solemn prize giving with the sponsor represented along with the Sri Lanka Golf Union staff members.
