The winners of Day 2 marking the finish line in Bandarawela: winner Sujith Hasantha (Sri Lanka Port Authority), 1st runner-up Chamod De Silva (Sri Lanka Port Authority) and 2nd runner-up Janaka Hemantha (Sri Lanka Navy)
Day 2 of the SLT Speedup Cycle Sawariya started from Embilipitiya on its way to Bandarawela on the morning of 25 September. The cyclists travelled through Ambalantota, Hambantota, Weerawila, Wellawaya, Ella to reach Bandarawela, covering a distance of 156 Km. The race was flagged off by SLT Deputy General Manager (Sabaragamuwa Province) Sanjaya Kumara,.
According to the Day 1 race performance, the Tour Leader Jersey was received by Chamika Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy whilst Chamod De Silva of Sri Lanka Port Authority received the Best Young Rider Jersey. Chamika Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy also received the Best Sprinter Jersey and handed it over to Nihal Silva of the same team. The King of Mountain jersey was received by Viran Ramesh of Sri Lanka Port Authority. All jersey winners travelled to the finish wearing their jerseys. The winner of Day 2 was Sujith Hasantha of Sri Lanka Port Authority. The 1st and the 2nd runners-up were Chamod De Silva of Sri Lanka Port Authority, and Janaka Hemantha of Sri Lanka Navy, respectively.
The Day 3 race started off at 9.00 am today from Bandarawela, and will travel through Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and mark the finish at Kurunegala.
