The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) committee meeting deciding the future of the second round of Singer League 2019 was postponed to 29 April.
They are likely to obtain permission from the Defence Ministry, Education Ministry and Sports Ministry to restart the Singer Schools League Rugby tournament.
According to reliable sources, if the recommencement of the second round is later than May, then they will take a break for GCE A/L examinations in August after round two, then continue with the Milo Knockout tournament afterwards. SLSRFA is very likely to reschedule round two, to be played according to the original scheduled order of matches.
Meanwhile the Bradby Shield encounters were originally scheduled for 11 May (Kandy) and 25 May in Colombo.
Asia Rugby Championship 2019 will take place in August. The hosting country is yet to be announced by Asia Rugby.
