Ruberu to captain Isipathana rugby team

Former Isipathana rugby skipper (2018) and national youth rugby player Manilka Ruberu was appointed the Skipper of Isipathana’s Under-19 team for the 2020 rugby season.

He will have Ramitha Himash as his deputy for the outfit, which will be coached by former Kingswood and national player Ronny Ibrahim. They will start the season with a game against their old boys at Havelock Park on 16 February.

Isipathana, which has contributed the greatest number of players to the national Sevens and Fifteens ranks, will be expecting a decent position in the league and a strong showing in the knockout competition. (SJ)
