Rodney So’oialo to continue with Trinity

Former All Blacks number eight Rodney So’oialo will continue as the Head Coach of the Trinity College Under-20 rugby outfit for 2020.  

He will arrive in the island shortly to initiate their training schedule and will have the national women’s team coach Saliya Kumara as his three-quarter coach.

Forty-year-old So’oialo played for New Zealand from 2002 to 2009, representing the All Blacks outfit for 62 test matches. He played for the Honda Heat Club in Japan and was also part of the Wellington Lions coaching unit. In Super rugby he represented the Hurricanes in 101 matches. He was also a part of the gold medal-winning New Zealand team which took part in the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games Rugby Sevens.

  • Junior Rugby Consultant - Pradeep Basnayake

Under 14

  • Head Coach - Ramzy Dekak
  • Assistant Coach – B. Ranjan

Under 12 and Under 10

  • Head Coach – Y.M.S. Ratnayke
