Richard to lead Kandy at Sevens

Former Science College player and national winger in both forms of the game, Richard Dharmapala, will lead the Kandy Sports Club outfit at the next month’s Dialog Inter Club Sevens. The Navy will defend the title at this event, while Kandy did not participate at the last event.

Dhanushka Ranjan, Richard Dharmapala, Sayuru Anthony, Roshan Weeraratne, Gayan Weeraratne, Thilina Wijesinghe and Vishwamithra Jayasinghe are likely to play in this event. Wilwara and Nigel Ratwatte are both out with injuries and are doubtful starters. Former national fifteens skipper, Sean Wijesinghe, will coach the outfit with Saliya Kumara and Nalaka Weerakody to assist the outfit.

The Up Country Club will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) later next month.   (SJ)
