Peterite Karateka Randev Athukorala has been appointed the Captain of the Sri Lanka Karate Team Captain for the coveted 10th Silent Knight Karate Cup 2019 which is scheduled to be held at Titiwangsa Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 22-24 February.

The 10th Championships will attract the top 800 Karatekas from the Asian Region from around 13 countries, and serves as an early preparatory event for the Asian Karate Championships, Indonesian Open Championships, Malaysian Karate Championship, and Indian Open Championships to be staged in the later part of 2019.
The Sri Lanka contingent of 23 top Karatekas will be led by the 2nd Dan Black Belt Karateka Randev Athukorala from St Peter’s College, who is the reigning Gold Medallist from the Asian Karate Championships 2016 and Silver Medallist 2017, whilst also been ranked 17th globally by the World Karate Federation in Spain.
