CH player on attacking ways against Police
Police Sports Club completed their third win this season when they edged out CH and FC, 27/22 in their last first round league rugby encounter which took place at the Police Park last weekend.
At the short breather Cops led 10/9.
CH and FC took the lead through two penalties put over by Hirusha Sampath but the Cops hit back through a try by skipper, Nisala Samadhi with Yohan Peiris being accurate in the kick at goal. There was no stop in Hirusha Sampath kicking when he put over their third penalty but the Cops once again hit back soon through Yohan penalty to take the short breather at 10/9 in their favour.
After the turn around, Police skipper Nisala who had a grand outing completed his second try allowing Yohan to do the kick at goal. Former Kingswoodian Hirusha Sampath completed two more penalties for CH.
CH scored their first try through Prasath Madushanka with Hirusha conversion took them in to a 22/17 lead for the first time in the game after 66 minutes. But the Cops bounced back through national sevens player Akash Madushan to equal scores. Hosts scored the winning try through the former Wesley College player Hafiz Thabith.
